Airline Bike Charge
The majority of airlines follow the recommendations of the IATA when charging for luggage, using a maximum 'linear length' of 158cm, which is much smaller than a standard bike box. As such, they don't consider bike boxes to be standard luggage and you'll need to add sports luggage on top of any other charges.
