The COVID-19 pandemic caused many manufacturing verticals to slow to a crawl or a complete stop for at least part of 2020, but one sector saw continued strong growth: additive manufacturing, or 3D printing. The Netherlands-based online manufacturing platform 3D Hubs recently released its additive manufacturing trend report for 2021, which showed that the global additive manufacturing (AM) market grew 21% during 2020 over its 2019 value to $12.6 billion.
